Choosing the right frame makes all the difference to the finished piece, drawing everything together so that it works in harmony with the painting and the space for which it is destined. The shape, width, colour and finish of the frame directly affect the visual impact of the pigment used in the portrait. A great frame will elevate and compliment the sitter and enhance elements within the portrait, especially the eyes.

Mia will work with you to design the very best frame for your portrait. She uses expert, independent framers based in London. Each frame is unique; carefully hand crafted from raw materials.

Choose to attend a frame design session with Mia, or let Mia choose everything for you. A design session takes place at the framer's studio in central London and typically lasts approx. 2-3 hours. Mia charges a flat rate consultation fee of £150 for this service in addition to the cost of the frame.
